We are holding a Spring Bulb Show at the Village Hall Coffee Shop on 9 April 2022. You can enjoy teas, coffees, home-made cakes and bacon rolls after you bring along your entries.
This is a fun event, open to anyone – you do not need to be a Garden Club member. We want to encourage growers of all ages to join in and fill the Village Hall with colour to make the start of Spring 2022 special!
There are four categories to enter, with a small prize for two of them. Entry forms will be distributed in March, but you have plenty of time to plan ahead.

Pot of 5 bulbs of dwarf Daffodils, for example Tete-a Tete.
Colours (20p per entry)

Pot or Bowl – Prize category (20p per entry)
Pot or Bowl of Spring flowering bulbs with a maximum diameter of 10″ (25cm).Run riot with as many bulbs of as many types as you like!
Tips from Tim:
Check your bulbs for any signs of mould or rot; whilst mildewed ones may grow, plant the healthiest bulbs you can find.
For the 10″ bowl, plant as many bulbs as possible for a spectacular result!
Choose varieties with different flowering times – they never quite do what the packet says…
To bring flowering on, move your pot to the sunniest part of the garden, rotate it and move them around.
To hold flowering back, put your pot in the shadiest and coolest part of the garden.
Best of luck – we are all at the mercy of the Winter weather…
